RETA Certification and Training

RETA Certification is important:

Refrigerating Engineers & Technicians Association (RETA) believes that qualified plant operators are vital to the industry. In order to meet the needs of the refrigeration industry, RETA offers two levels of certification to provide continued education and training.

What is the difference between CIRO & CARO RETA Certification:

CARO – The Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO) is an entry-level examination designed to identify whether an operator has the basic knowledge to function safely in an engine room under the supervision of a more experienced operator. There are no minimum experience requirements.

CIRO – The Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator (CIRO) examination is for operators with at least two years of experience.

How IRTC can help:

IRTC offers an intensive 4.5 day industrial refrigeration training course to prepare operators for the RETA CARO & CIRO certification tests. Students will be administered an exam at the completion of course and will be awarded a certificate upon passing.
