Industrial Refrigeration Technical College offers both instruction in a classroom environment and hands-on training in their state-of-the-art, comprehensive ammonia refrigeration lab. IRTC also serves as a RETA-certified test-taking center. The training lab features multiple refrigeration systems and is comparable to those currently found in the ammonia refrigeration industry. The ammonia operator training facility has been designed to simulate a variety of various training scenarios and gives students the ability to apply their classroom education into "real-world" trouble-shooting situations. IRTC classroom courses focus on process safety, operation, and maintenance, as well as technical issues, sustainability, and energy-saving solutions for industrial refrigeration facilities.
