In this week's Operator III class, Jay thoroughly covered and operated in the lab with the students on the following topics - two-stage, ammonia / CO2 cascade, economized, TXVs, hot gas heating, hot gas defrost, DX, recirculated, flooded, and secondary coolant systems.

The students prepared purging air from the condensers in last week's class.  Our Operator II course offers the most hands-on learning experience than any other course.

In this week's Operator I class, the students learned about screw compressors and reciprocating compressors.  On Friday, many students took the CARO exam at our RETA testing center.

In last week's HAZWOPER class, students became familiar with the techniques and procedures to contain an ammonia leak.  Additionally, the students participated in a live emergency response drill utilizing full personal protective equipment with a fully operational ammonia plant.
